Give each lighting choice a purpose
Lighting can make a face readable, reveal a product, define a route or create a show moment. Describe those tasks separately before choosing fixtures. An attractive background does not automatically provide useful light on a speaker or a demonstration table.
Review the space from several positions
Consider the visitor, presenter, photographer and video camera. Windows, venue lighting and bright screens all affect the result. Share product surfaces and camera positions early so reflections, shadows and colour can be tested in context.
The articles compare fixture functions, practical stand lighting and the work involved in programming and operating a setup. Examples are planning illustrations, not universal fixture counts for a given floor area.
Connect design to delivery
Use an annotated floor plan and visual references to discuss lighting equipment. Agree the mounting arrangement, control, rehearsal and operation alongside the creative concept.
